Fantastic location walking distance to all the best attractions and trams and the Golden Gate Bridge was visible from our balcony peeking over the fog ( named Karl by locals we understand) Very convenient free parking included in a basement garage which we could use even in checkout day Staff on reception very helpful and the guy with short blond hair gave us all the tips and itinerary required for our first day including lovely place to eat seafood and the best ice-cream! We had a fab time! thank- you!

The hostel was very dirty I Had Bedbugs and a Roach in my bed the bathroom has no toilet tissue and the water pressure is none I had to take a wash bath water from the sink with my soap the manager is horrible and is never available

Great choice for a hostel in San Francisco! I have stayed in many all over the world and this is one of the best. Had a wonderful greeting and check in with Trevor. Very clean and well organised with great decor. Great kitchen with some free apples, 24 hour tea and hot water available as well as vending machines with refreshments. Elevator available to access all floors. Stayed in a 4 bed women only room with ensuite tub/shower and sink outside of bathroom for double duty. Had upper bunk which was comfortable with ample outlets for charging gadgets, small shelf and personal lamp. A curtain for privacy made it extra nice. The room also had a private balcony with sliding door, 2 chairs and a table. There is no a/c in the room and it was rather stuffy so I left the door cracked a bit as advised by Trevor for fresh air but another lady later closed it rather loudly and didn't respond me trying to ask her to please leave it open. (That was the only drawback of sharing a room with others, personal preference for air and room temperature is not always accommodated. But, it served my purpose as it was only needed for one night.) Breakfast was good, a variety of cereal with milk or oatmeal, yogurt, fruit and brewed coffee. Arrive early for the 1st pot otherwise the wait could be 40 minutes. The patio area for lounging is great! Nice vibes, atmosphere and respectful guests including picnic benches a pool table, books and bean bags. In the front lobby is high table and chairs next to a very comfortable sofa/lounge area. Had a great conversation with another guest. A major plus staying in hostels is the traveling community, some awesome fellow sojourners. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again!

The location is great: close to public transit, easily walkable to Fisherman’s Wharf and great neighborhoods. The room was spacious and clean, and staff is very friendly.

The hostel is conveniently located in a safe area (compared to downtown), with bus stops nearby. I felt comfortable returning to the hostel even around 8-9 pm. The free breakfast starts at 8 am and includes a variety of oatmeal and cereals, including Honey Bunches of Oats, which I was happy to find. There were also yogurts and oranges available. Overall, the breakfast is acceptable for the price of the stay, though it would be even better with boiled eggs or a wider selection of fruits. I appreciated the two large refrigerators available for guests to store their food. I brought some food to add to the provided breakfast and was able to keep it fresh in the fridge.

It's located on the Lomard Street in 10-minutes walk from the famous crooky landmark. I haven't seen homeless drug addicts in that area. The prices are surprisingly reasonable for SF. Rooms are clean.

location was great. It’s a short bus ride to china town, pier 39, fisherman’s warf etc. I am female traveling solo and I felt safe in this area and also at this hostel. Staff was friendly and helpful and everything was pretty clean. common areas were awesome. I would definitely stay here again.
